JAX Design System

As a UX design professional at the Jackson Laboratory, I worked with a team of 5 other designers to develop a comprehensive design system for use across all departments of the lab. Our goal was to standardize the look and feel of our various domains, transfer our current print standards to the web, and ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards. To facilitate this process, we established a UX Governance Committee to help coordinate efforts across the Communications, Marketing, and IT teams. While this work is ongoing and the below includes only finalized designs, we anticipate that it may be subject to revision following a planned rebrand within the Marketing department.
